Tour de Georgia, Late April, 2008 in All-over, GA

We're going to be following a couple of stages, most likely the Friday and Saturday stages that cover Tate and Brasstown Bald. Watch emails for discussion of when, where, and who.

The official site is http://www.tourdegeorgia.com/.

Actual proof of the dedication of Georgia cyclists. We don't get as much snow as other parts of the world, but when we do, we ride. Be sure to spot the grade caution sign over Matt's shoulder.

Pike Century, March 15, 2008 in Griffin, GA

Multiple distances. One of the first organized rides for our group this season. Zane's buddy is graciously hosting some overnight; talk to Z if you need more information.

The official site is http://www.kiwanispike.org/tourdepike.html.

Beautiful Backroads Century Saturday, Sep 22 in White, GA

Official Team Canister participation (this is by no means an implication that we're involved in the event; calling it 'official' just guilts more of us to actually show up). Distances from 12 to 105 miles, but seriously, you're thinking about doing just 12 miles? C'mon hang in there for at least a metric century!

The official site is Beautiful Backroads Century.

Announcement

7 Sep 07 The Team Canister site is back.

From the group ride on Saturday. Look at all that red! Note that David is not visible; he's the skilled cameraman taking these shots. Impressive, David; keep it up!

Group ride Saturday, Sep 8 in White, GA

Meet at the Baptist church at 7am. We'll ride the bottom loop of the Backroads Century to become familiar with the course and the terrain. Distance is about 40 miles, with options to go longer at the end.

One of the few times we'll find David and Rob smiling before their epic trek to the beach. Did anyone mention that home isn't anywhere near the beach? (Note that sporting official team gear in pictures increases the likelihood of getting said picture posted on this site.)

And in a classic comparison, here's the post ride pic. Note the tan on those guys.
